Guided Tours

A guided tour through the Landschaftspark will show you a piece of living industrial and cultural history. Visitors have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the production process of pig iron. Blast Furnace 5 in particular is the perfect place to gain a very realistic picture of the impressive production chain of the former ironworks. Standing in front of the Blast Furnace’s run-off chute they talk to visitors about the hot working conditions and give an insight into an ironworker's life. It’s especially on the torchlit guided tours at weekends that the works once more gives off a fiery glow just as it did thirty years ago. But please note – on the evening tours a torch is essential!
